Ski racing took root at Wildcat 75 years ago when the Civilian Conservation Corps built the Wildcat trail, one of the first ski racing trails in the United States. Two of the original founders of Wildcat Mountain, George Macomber and Brooks Dodge, both of whom had raced on two former Olympic Teams, raced many times on the old Wildcat race trail; it IS part of the heritage of the mountain.
Racing and race training continues to be an integral part of the winter activities at Wildcat. We provide training and hill space for many race programs; the Bobcat is usually closed most Saturdays and Sundays to provide the necessary hill space. Wildcat Mountain Snow Sports School can provide race training for individuals, ski clubs, and high school ski teams for single days or an entire season, and also provide hill space, timing and course setting for high school and club races. The Wildcat Mountain Ski Team is a season-long (early December – late March) USSA program for 7-14 olds designed to develop a love of skiing along with skills in alpine racing.
PROGRAM

Our high school program meets from 9:30 -11:30 am and 12:30 -2:30 pm on weekends and vacation days. Courses will be set before you arrive, and a re-set is usually done during the lunch hour to provide a different discipline/course for the afternoon. We work in conjunction with the accompanying coaches to provide the most appropriate training for their athletes. Click to view 2010 Race Hill Schedule.
RATES and REQUIREMENTS

We usually require a minimum of 10 team skiers for our team pricing of $22.00 per day with a season pass, or $38.50 per day, which includes a pass for the day. The day pass is valid all day on all of our lifts. One complimentary coaches’ pass is given for every 10 athletes.
