Wildcat Weather Forecast

1/28/2025 1200pm UPDATE:Wildcat is CLOSED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY DUE TO HIGH WINDS.  See you all tomorrow.  -----530am  *** Note:  The forecast is again calling for high wind throughout the day which may impact our lift operating plan. ***  If the weather cooperates, the skiing and riding today will be great, groomed packed powder.  Cruise and carve while taking in the best view around.  We recently added Lynx Lair and Upper Lynx to the open list and they are skiing and riding awesome!  And...snowmaking just finished covering Lower Catapult and we should be skiing/riding it soon.  For some adventure, explore our natural snow trails...Wildcat Style.  That means thin cover, ungroomed, natural snow, with natural hazards.  Bobcat, Middle Catapult, Middle Lynx and Lower Lynx will be closed today and should reopen soon.   Today, we plan on opening the Wildcat Express Summit quad lift, the Tomcat Triple lift and the World Famous Snowbelt from 9am-4pm.  The Polecat Trail is open top to bottom!  That's almost 3 miles of Green Circle goodness with amazing views and great cruising and carving.  Weather today will include very cold temps, strong, decreasing wind and partly sunny skies.  Dress in layers, stay hydrated and have an awesome day.  After some fun runs, come on in and grab some food and hot drinks, and maybe even grab a cool gift from W Sports, our retail shop.  With all that being said, get your skis and boards tuned up, grab your great vibe and I'll see you on the mountain.  -Kevin

Operational Notes:

Bobcat Lift Update: The Bobcat lift will be closed today due to an unexpected maintenance challenge with our top lift house and the communication line.  We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.  At this time we only have the snowbelt open for learning terrain.  If you are looking for additional progressive terrain our sister resort up the street, Attitash, is open for skiing and riding and your day ticket is valid at both mountains.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Snowcat Lift Update: Thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this repair. The Snowcat repairs are underway, and we are on track to reopen it for operations soon. You may see it spinning while we run some tests on it. We'll keep you posted with our progress.

Uphill Access is OPEN.  Uphill access is via the Polecat Trail and is allowed outside of our operating hours ONLY.  Uphill hours are 4pm-8am so bring your headlight and enjoy the beauty of Wildcat.  Please note:. We have equipment, personnel and machinery all over the mountain so PLEASE make yourself visible and give them plenty of space.  If you see our flasing signs and winching warnings, turn back.  Groomer winching can be very dangerous.  Lastly, our snowmobiles follow thier own track up and down and can be on the mountain at any time, so please avoid skinning on the snowmobile track. In true back country fasion, please respect these rules to help keep it available for all of us.  Thanks friends.
